Hey
just posting up my chosen concept for this assignment.
the two 'members' on either side of the blue display slide up and down to adjust the volume and select stations respectively whilst the display gives more visual feedback.
I haven't decided on how to change between am/fm intuitively... (coming soon!)
the black grill at the bottom houses the speaker with two vents on either side to allow more clarity of sound.

Very nice shape- though I think I like the shape in the background a bit better. More delicate and better proportioned.
You've got an interesting idea with the sliding bars to adjust volume and tuning. Though the rails inside (to allow the bars to slide up) will affect how the radio looks at different volumes and and stations. There might be a lot of room to experiment in this regard...

i'm with sunny..the shape in the background would look really cool, but i imagine that a fine curve like it would be hard to manufacture as a radio.
have you thought about adding any kind of speaker or vent to the front of the radio so that the sound could be projected towards the user. i'm thinking if its against a wall it might not sound that great...
nice drawing too- grace
