final

my final consists of a sliding effect. this is to ensure the that inner compartments and functions are protected when it is placed in the consumer's pocket. the speaker is also placed on top to enable maximum sound travel through to the client's pocket. the tuning and volume control is placed near the digital display, so that it is within thumb reach of the user. overall i'm happy with the design. it's user friendly and very simple.

hi annie,

i like your design, i think its been very well considered. i like the slider and hidden controls, i think they make it a fun and aesthetically pleasing product. Since this is a pocket radio, perhaps it would be good to have some kind of lock on the slider? perhaps a spring loaded release mechanism (a button?)since one might slide it open and operate it accidentally when pulling it out of a tight pocket from the top.

I like your idea and the sketch is also quite good, I'm a bit apprehensive on exactly how the controls would function properly. Would it be too big for your pocket? If its sat on a desk or something would it be stable due to the nature of the form. Be great to see the end result!
