Heres my new revised concept. Hopefully my rendering makes sense.
I designed this radio so that it can be placed in the middle of a room or something and it can project sound in all directions. I did this by facing the speaker up with an unpside down cone above it. And after almost failing YR12 physics, I think I am able to say that this should work, as the sound will bounce off the cone and go out in all directions. When one wants to change volume, they simply turn the cone on the top to the desired volume number, and then to change the station, the cone can be pushed down like a button and then one is able to tune it. I have yet to figure out how to show whether it is in volume or tuning mode, I may have to add a little screen or something.

Hey marco, looks like the design is coming along well and I love that you've incorporated a bit of physics haha. The radio is well designed and simple to use, also a very artistic form. Have you thought about a battery compartment though because you could easily unscrew the cone tuner on top and place batteries there. Anyway as for distinguishing between volume and tuning maybe have a bulb which changes colour inside the cone or a seperate cone piece for volume.
Good work though

hi marco, the curved top button looks much better than the cyclindrical one you had before, in terms of the changing between volume/tune, perhaps (if this is a heavy bade) the top button could lift up to a snap position and change volume and push down to the low position to change tune. otherwise, perhaps just something that changes colour? maybe a light/hue over the speaker?

hi marco, i really love your final concept.
however, i can see a flaw in your design.
for example, i tuned to station 96.3, the volume will be approximately 0.7. then, i change the volume to 3. when i press the button again , this means that the radio station will change to 98.5.
this will not be convenient if the volume / radio station keeps on changing.
maybe you can divide the knob to half, the bottom part for channel and the upper part for volume.
