This is my refinement of the radio design I'd done.the overall shape / form of the radio design can be seen as a type of jewelery.
the center control / knob can be lifted and rotated to change the channel , then pushed down to lock it in and rotate it again to change the volume.
to turn on / off the radio simply push the button underneath the radio (to turn it on as well as opening it.) or close it .

I really like the idea of this design! I think the outside would look really effective if it was a steel or aluminum finish...really highlight those contour lines you have put in place!

The shape you've used in you're design is really nice... I haven't seen anything like it before!
To turn the radio on/off can you just push down on the entire thing or do you have to turn it over?
Have you thought of making it so the speakers are on the outside...so you would open it to control it then close it to listen to it?

yeah when you close it, the radio turns off, therefore you can't hear the sound.

Sarah - yeah some sort of high reflection material that will able to bring out the highlights, making it look more like a jewelery piece.
