Radio Concept

This image contains the basic look and proportions of my radio. The radio is meant to be Hand held and is shaped similar to and egg, the top half basically acts as the frequency dial and can be switched between FM and AM frequencies by sliding the top bit, an elipse shape on each end reveals the stations it can be rotated and adjusted to.
Speakers on top. I imagined where the finger and thumb would be placed and took this into consideration when deciding where to place the volume buttons, a plus and minus are on the bottom half on each side near the tip. The placement of everything makes this radio easy to be controlled with one hand.

Hey Kyle, this is an interest concetp with an interesting shape. I was wondering whether you though about applying some sort of locking mechanism to the pivot, as a small bump could dislodge the selected station. Overall i like the simplicity here, you have dimensioned the overal radio have you sized up the countour for you hand,as with my product i've found anything that is gripped just fits within the space limits. I think this concept will be interesting to see in the flesh and how its ergonomics work. I think the organic form is hard get sense of and the foam model will deinfately allow you to assess any further form changes.
