So this is my final model here. I've changed the pattern on the front face because I simply got bored of the old one.

I believe the proportions here are slightly more comfortable in the hand and can definitely squeeze in the internal components.

KLiK RADIO

Hey guys here is my hero shot for my unique, stylish and extremely popular KliK portable radio. The name is based on the radio's highly addictive click on/off and digital tuning button situated perfectly for a repetitive clicking action with the thumb. The concept was derived from the pen clicking habit and this shot is modelled on that. Basically the motto is "A habit in disguise", which I thought was suitable because the natural clicking action becomes part of an enjoyable activity (listening to music). Usually clicking your pen can be quite irritating for other people lol. Anyway hope you like the picture, I think it is suitable for the younger audience I am aiming to attract.

there seems to be a trend in presenting the radios via computer so i
decided to change things up and present one of my pages showing the form
as well as the power source and scale (compared to the AAA battery).

i chose the specific bland mat aluminum finish as the environment that
the product is used in needs a sturdy but light weight product that does
not scratch easily or allow you to see the inconsistencies on the surface
due to the environment.

Here is my version of Hero Shot, this composition doesn't really illustrate the strong lines and striking vision of the radio but it's intention was to be extreeemely stylish and sophisticated so I have tried to create a sense of feeling of the object opposed to just the observation. Can you feel an object when you look at it?

Here's my hero shot. I dont have any Photoshop skills (and i dont have Photoshop), so i tried taking a nice picture. I have also posted a similar shot i took of my first model, just to make the final model look better. The 4 supports still dont align perfectly, but thats the best i could do with my foam modeling skills. I have also reinforced them with wire.

Well my idea was that the radio was supposed to brighten a dull
workspace. I wanted the background to be in black and white and the radio
vibrant colours but i didnt know how to do this so this si what i came up
with.

Hi Guys! My Hero shot is a marker-ed drawing. This shot shows the back
end of my Radio Runners (The surround sound running experience). It was
touched up in Photoshop. Throughout my refinement the handle and tunning
platform changed the most. My colours were chosen based on a 'high
energy' feel to them and work quite harmoniously.

Hey, does anyone know if we are supposed to show a hero shot of our model
specifically. As on our Semester plan it says photo and rendering? Or did
Robbie say it's pretty flexible? Cheers.

Hero Shot: Be Inspired By Nature

yeah this is my hero shot~~
basically just cut out the radio i've taken using photoshop and change the color of it~~
...yeah can't use photoshop so just did some basic editing T.T
o well hope u guys like it lol

i haven't stack any details of the radio on yet~~ i am still thinking if i should do it or if i should sand the details out using sand paper~ which probably give it a better finish overall ~~

ok here are the photos of my shower radio, sorry i am not very good at illustrator or photoshop. I just took these photos in my shower at home but my radio suffered a few falls due to its cheap suction cap not working well and now it is a bit dinted :(

hero shot isnt what i imagined it to look like but that is what always happens with ideas so hey what can you do.
mainly done on photoshop but the actual radio is an altered image. and yes i do no that my p.shop skills are'nt great so sorry guys...

Final Radio Model

Here is my final radio model. I'm really happy with how it has turned out, it looks like how I imagined. I made the screen and LCD display with a black piece of paper and a printout of a screen I made in illustrator.

The dials are designed to turn but are a little flimsy on this mockup. Part lines are scored into the foam.
