I'm gonna make the red one probably not the other one, too many parts. This is my final design, i think that i will make the flat sections in between the colors the speakers.
as I said in class, your task at the moment is to explore proportions with this design - the relationship between the red and silver sections is critical. Do all the silver sections have to be the same size?
Also, some detail sketches of the interface like tuning and volume will be good.
looking forward to seeing this, and other people's ideas develop over the week - keep the posts coming
cool design adis! reminds me a lot of a christmas tree not only becuase of the form but becuase of the colour (red). I like the user interface. Really easy to operate if the red parts are ratateable to adjust the volume and tuning.
Also the face that the speakers would be angled slightly upwards becuase of the slope of the conical shape would preject the cound outwards to the whole room/environment well.
Stuff adis! nice marker, really like the sculptural form and the simplicity of the design/idea. just thinking if it is for in home use maybe the top could be rounded off for saftey purposes.
