'Slinkee' Refined Designs

Hey guys this is a more refined technical outline of how i wish to go about my transistor radio. already from this particular design i can see that the main centre unit is probably a little bit too sqaure and could be refined into a marginally rounder or more natural shape atleast around the top of it anyway. This idea being my prefferred design option is the continuation of last weeks blog post. that being the idea of the slinkee radio being both portable and stationary.

hi.. this is a really interesting idea.. i've never seen anything like it before and thats cool. i dont really understand exactly how it works, i found it hard to read the comments on the scan but if its along the lines of what i think then as long as its made of strong materials as not to break i think it would be a successful product. the radio would have an extra gamelike/entertainment quality which could become like the recent sudoku trend or something(picturing peeps on trams springing this radio in their hands).and may be successful in places like japan where those little quirky pleasures are popular.i also really like the shape of the display against the rigid body.

Hmmm, it feels weird to me. The interface looks old school which i like got a well built quality appeal to it but the shape is too hard edged for me when combined with that interface.

As Phoebe said, it's a quirky idea, so I think you should take advantage of it! Really play with the shape and form. Why not have that interface on and actual slinky form? Where the sides are the slinky part and have the speakers enclosed.

Goodluck with it and i shal burn you Tiesto/Armin videos now!
