Transistor Radio

This is the idea that i have chosen to go on and refine. The design is based on a cylindrical shape that involves the twisting of the speekers to adjust the volume and radio station. The radio turns on when the two speekers are pulled away from eachother. As the speekers are seperated the interface is then exposed and ready to use.

this is very cool, i love your user interaction. Bending the speakers to adjust volume is a very cool and different solution to the interface issue. One question though would be how strong or hard the speakers will be. If they are easy to bend then will they support the radio easily or just collapse?? I love the concept though, very cool

yeah, i agree! pretty cool concept - works a lot like andrew wilde's!

only problem i can see is the radio rolling away if it's sitting on a table, maybe some weights or a small flat section on the bottom could rectify this?

I really like this idea, the way how the speakers move to turn on the device is quite cool, Though the bending aspect couldnt that cause the speakers to break easily? whats the durability of such an idea.
