Hi Guys,
Attached above is my first concept design for my radio. Its purposely not in perspective because it is to be designed slightly off skew. The blue bars are touch sensitive and change to volume and tuner. The figure 8 shapes are buttons for the Am/Fm channel, the panel is a screen and the little holes in the top are for the speaker the dimension roughly for the radio are 100 X 100 X 100mm.
Please let me know what you think!

I like the 'out there' design with the touch sensitive bars and such, but it is aimed at a certain target market or demographic? Like if someone bought it to here the footy commenty during a game and the radio was outside and it was raining or something, how would the speakers be protected from the rain? That may not be what the radio is designed for, it may just be an indoor one made to look nice, but from what i see it doesnt have a main purpose. Hopefully you know what I am trying to get at here.

the form is pretty crazy. it really doesn't look anything like a radio. depending on the target market and the specific needs of the brief (which there are none), this could be a good or bad thing. i think it looks heaps like a toaster. what sort of material is the exterior going to be made of?
one other thing, how rounded are those edges? as long as they curve over enough, then sliding your finger over it shouldnt be a problem, otherwise it could be very uncomfortable.

If it's going to be a skewed cube, it would be nice to see some different views showing how, and in which direction. Hopefully you'll have these in class.
The interface is interesting and creative - I would say that it does need a theme, or something to focus on, otherwise it is a little disjointed. This is on the way to becoming something interesting.
