nice work nancy. i like the idea of this radio doubling as a digital clock while still keeping a distinct radio form. i think that this would look great as a bedside radio which could even go as a far as being an alarm clock aswell.
They are good ideas nancy!The 1st/2nd idea-I can feel the weight on the radio. For some reasons I think the position of the handle is probably hard to carry. I really like the clock one-This would look fantastic if there are different colours available.

This is good, simple, functional design. The top image there seams to be an old school computer influence with the shape, which I enjoy.
The middle images remind me of a camp stove and the last few are very simple and functional radios.
I second the alarm clock idea by Keiran, would be a great bedside alarm clock.
I would love an explanation to get a better feel for your design
