Surf Board Radio
this is me just thinking on paper... i'm reckoning a bit of surf board radio action could be pretty sweet, can't really think of too much to go with in terms of shape, it's gotta be pretty simple, strong, waterproof, i guess user friendliness is the most important... i'll just try and stylise it a bit now, maybe a bit of branding aswell...

Hey Dan, i like the sound of your design being durable and weatherproof not many radios have both of these. The surfboard shape would give good flat space inside for the speeker etc so it would be pretty awesome stylized into a radio. Just wanted to know would this radio be designed for beach use and water-sports in alone? Andrew G :)
nice idea. An easy part would be the styling - there is no shortage of cues in surf culture. The hard part? getting it 100% waterproof and very, very durable.
Maybe an idea to get you started - look at other waterproof products like cameras...
