These were my ideas for a stationary radio. Something that can be used in the house which is aesthically pleasing and that can maybe also be use as a book end.
I really like the dynamic lines creating the overal obscure form. This contrasts quite well with the sharp edges and sharp angles implemented. I think a metallic, silver finish would really aid in enhancing the angular surfaces and in combination with a bright vibrant color could create great contrast between the radio sections eg: the speaker zone, the knob section and the tuner section etc. I really like this concept and the overall silhouette it casts, is very unique.
I really like your idea and design. I am thinking if is going to be a book holder as well as the radio it would be better to leave the controls at the front so that the radio can be placed on either side of the bookshelf to hold the books up.
