Had this kind of cool idea for my radio being a slinkee for the speakers. This would hopefully allow the radio to extend beyond a single purpose being either a 'stationary' or 'portable' radio. Collapsable speakers would not remove the speaker entirely but rather allow the unit to evolve into a portable, hand held radio which can be easily slipt into a bag, or coat pocket. When extended it would suit any kitchen benchtop or bedside radio.

The idea of the "Collapsable speakers" is a great idea / concept,
allowing it to evolve into a portable device. It would certainly make life more easier for those people who likes to carry they radio around :D
The concept drawing communicates the idea very well. its drawn in good perspective and clearly shows the "Collapsable speakers " idea.

Good idea Kieran, like combining the transistor radio with a portable "travel" speaker system to maximise the best of both devices. I like the fact that the 'central cube' could be moulded into a numerous array of shapes and forms to explre diferent possibilities using this slinkee speaker idea. Nice. - Luke
