Measurement-Personal pressure

Hi, this is my first concept. I want to measure personal pressure-closeness to 'Limit'. This is how I come up with the shape of my device.  It is mainly glass. It has a "Squeeze"control and a reset button on the side. I was thinking about it would be better if the reset button is at the top-so you can reset it in any direction. In the morning, if you feel like you have lot of things going on, you just need to give it a big squeeze. You'll see some bubbles freely flowing around inside the device. Which means you still can relax a bit-not too much pressure going on. The device will eventually fill with lots of bubbles. The red light will be on when it can't take it anymore-to the "limit". It is just like an asthma attack or clogged arteries-when the air/blood can't flow through.

Hey Lisa, this is an interesting concept. I like the idea of measuring pressure and think that it would be quite useful. However, I reckon your method of measuring could be far more interesting; just because blood pressure is measured in a similar manner (i.e pumping air). I do like the idea of implementing water in the design. Maybe experiment with other ways of generating pressure. And different forms. A handheld design could be really helpful with measuring pressure. Think of confining water in a tight space, rapid movement etc. Keep up the good work!

I think it's really interesting how your device shows when pressure is rising, much like a person would be experiencing it. One thing you may want to think about is that this product could end up making the user feel more pressure by actually seeing how their pressure is rising. You may want to consider making a device that shows the same information but in a more calming way.

I agree with the comments here - you need to explore how to communicate pressure in different ways. Also, who is the communication to? Their colleagues, their boss, their teacher, themselves? The purpose will vary based on your answer here.
