measurement concept

so this is the idea i think ill be going through with. I continued to think about my patch which displays how burnt a person is. The data inputs include a measure of skin temperature as well as a gage of uv rays absorbed. This will then be analysed and outputted as a degree of sun damage caused. I am considering this as a change in colour oor a number of 'suns' appearing on a screen any ideas?

hey nev,
i reckon the screen would be including technology that isn't really required in the application.
especially since it may over complicate the device. (batteries etc)
as this product would probably be used near the beach, i know i dont want to be carrying electrical components and stuff into the water.

maybe try a device which can predict when you will burn?
just an idea.

I think this is a really interesting idea. I agree with Kai though. You probably want to think about a product that can be worn around the beach without looking like a large patch. Think about an item that someone would want to show off, maybe some kind of necklace or something?

The idea is a good one - but I'm concerned that the information will be given too late?

Correct me if I'm worng, but sunburn is a result of overexposure - so can the device tell me when I've had enough sun, rather than too much?

Graphics and interface will make this - I agree with Emily, it needs to fit at the beach and other outdoor activities. Does it clip on to swimwear, a picnic basket, a surfboard, a person?
