Here is my device, it is designed to detect levels of bacteria in food. I only discovered recently that this is not such a simple process so I have created a device that simplifies the process down. Basically a solution of fluorescent droplets has to be placed on the food in order to make the bacteria visible when the light is put on it. So once the solution is put on the food, the light is shined onto it which makes the bacteria visible to the naked eye and will also read on a sliding scale detector which will tell the user if the food is dangerous or not.
