Concept....

Hi guys,

you cant really see my annotations because its an A3 page and an A4 scanner. YAY. but ill explain it here. Basically the product is designed to prevent office workers from heart disease such as heart attacks by ensuring they keep control of their anger and stress levels. To do this the product sits on the office desk and picks up the volume and stress tones in the users voice. As these level get elevated the product begins to change form and colour to passively alert the user that they are putting themselves in danger. i wanted to avoid sounds and alarms because this would most likely just make this situation worse. i know if i was angry and something buzzed or beeped at me i would most likely break it into as many pieces as possible...maybe thats just me(awkward..... to reverse this change the user needs to "prove" to the product he or she has calmed down buy putting their finger in a pulse detector much like the ones they use in hospitals with the laser. once the pulse rate has gone back down the product returns to its "passive" form. so there it is.. let me know what you think..

wow yeah that is an interesting concept lol..... i think its going to be hard to produce a product that alerts someone of there anger without as u said just pissing them off!, unless it hurts them for being angry it could be a little like shock treatment or maybe not so drastic u could have a device that slowly injects morphine into the person... that will calm them down lol

Nick, the concept of measuring stress in that envrionment is a good one. Voice pattern will take some proof, but I'm ready to be impressed!

Also, the idea of 'calming' the device with your pulse is good - are there other options?

I'd like to see some exploration of form - this is a tricky area, stress.
