concept development

Hey guys,

Im at my final part of modeling now, hopefully will be finished soon. I have added my screen area and i have Extended the length by an extra 20mm just to make the grip a bit more comfortable. I have almost finished my wood model now, all i need to do is attach my rubber inlay and do final touches. I have also built a base station for it to sit in.

Till our next adventure..........

good to see the model is coming along. what finish are you planning on? remember it needs to look authoritative as it is to be used in conjunction with the brethalysers etc. by police. so perhaps a matt black would be an appropriate choice?

no more adventures!

Ryan, its looks very nice so far.

I dig the straight lines around the hand grip. They contrast well to the radius-ed cross section of the Sova. Well,……. maybe you could slightly radius the edges of the perimeter of the hand grip, just slightly so it feels more comfortable. Or maybe your rubber inlay covers up the straight edges.

I think the colour scheme should also be authoritative. But perhaps a nice metallic black and silver could be used in tandem to highlight the different geometry of the Sova (Like the what you’ve shown, the difference in colour between the cap and the body). I think that would look good especially with a nice bright blue LCD.

However the colour you’re displaying there, (bronzy brown, metallic) is growing on me, perhaps that a sound choice.
How is the base station coming along, I haven’t seen it yet, is It for charging or just to hold the device, is it for out in the field, or for storage purposes back at the station?
Really looks good.

Looks really good, I like the consisteny of the style in the product although in the picture I noticed a sharp point at the end of the handle. Could that be a danger to the user in some way?
