Below are the materials and parts which make up my busy beacon…...soo far.
As you can see, there is some work to still be done;
- Turn my Acrylic blocks into spheres
-Mill down the beacon's body
-Sand down the pivot body
-Prime all parts
-Insert purchased parts, light globes, switches, dials etc.
- glue parts together
-And then go to sleep
Bottom Right: shows my finalised 3d model. Finished result should look something like that.

It looks like you are putting a lot of detail into your model, its great! Are the perspex spheres going to light up? If so that will look cool. Good luck turning them on the lathe it will be a challenge.
One question.. how stable will your design be, it looks as if it could rock a little.
