model

Here is my model. I forgot to mention during the talk that the reason the sleeve is open is so that it is easier to clean. However, there are concerns about gunk getting into it since it could be attached to the keyring. So I'm trying to come up with a solution that is both easy to clean and protects the dipstick adequately.

I also need to decide how to dispense the indicators taking into account hygiene and ease of use.

Asumming one would remove the indicators before placing the dipstick into the keyring (?), i think an open sleeve wouldnt matter. Thats if you mean that the indicator can be removed from the dipstick after it is used? But if it is removed then maybe you need to think of a way to remove it, or a place to store used ones?

hi sunny,

one thing that came to mind was having adhesive pads that stick to the tip and dispense from the bottom of the (now closed) case. once the stick is inserted, the pad sticks to the bottom, and once it has been used, the pad can be discarded and the stick replaced thus as soon as it is drawn again, a new pad willbe at the bottom. this also allows for a refill section at the bottom of the case.
