Tadao Ando

I found this in some research I did earlier in the year. This guy designs these incredibly minimalistic buildings almost solely out of concrete, but using the way that light interacts with the spaces to make it interesting.
This picture is of a church he did, where behind the alter there is a cross shaped window. The building is orientated so that at their normal morning mass time, the sun lines up with the cross, creating the glowing/illuminated cross. I'm not religous, but this caught my eye and I thought is was pretty cool. And I didn't want to put another car up here...
