changes i'm making are merely for functional raesons.. to slim the body for more rapid and hence visual filling of rain and broadening the stone tree for the latter reason also. i thought more about Dans idea to have channels to speed up filling and contact to the tree but decided against as not to disrupt the open glass 'look'(more framed/ornamental). i also may round the outside edges so that when mounted the gauge looks blended and a part of where it is attached. hence more sculptural and gentle on its surroundings.. which was also mentioned about after presentation.
